According to the requirements of relevant management regulations on crew training and examination, China Xiamen shipping's notice on ex servicemen's participation in crew competency training and examination is as follows.
1、 Training personnel conditions
Veterans who have graduated from high school (including technical secondary school, vocational high school and technical school) or above can participate in the job qualification training of the third mate, third engineer and electronic electrician in the unlimited navigation area of sea going ships.
Veterans who have graduated from junior high school or above can participate in the job qualification training for the third mate, third engineer and electronic electrician in the coastal navigation area of seagoing ships, as well as the job qualification training for the third mate and third engineer of inland river class I.
Ex servicemen participating in crew competency training shall meet the health requirements of crew posts.
2、 Training and examination
Veterans who have graduated from junior and senior high school who have participated in the post qualification training of third mate, third engineer and electronic electrician shall first complete the study of basic knowledge such as mathematics, physics, mechanics and English (English can be exempted for inland rivers) for no less than 6 months; According to the training contents specified in the corresponding training program, complete the post competency training for no less than 12 months. After obtaining the training certificate according to the regulations of crew training management rules, they can participate in the corresponding competency examination.
Veterans holding the post qualification training certificate of third mate, third engineer or electronic electrician can be exempted from training and directly apply for the corresponding competency examination of sailors, mechanics and electronic technicians on duty.
