"The Guidelines for Compensation Claims from the Ship Oil Pollution Damage Compensation Fund (2024 Revised Edition) and the Claiming Guide for the Ship Oil Pollution Damage Compensation Fund (2024 Revised Edition)."
To further guide and standardize the claims and settlement work of the Ship Oil Pollution Damage Compensation Fund, in light of changes in laws and regulations and the practice of settlement work, our bureau has revised the "Guidelines for the Settlement of the Ship Oil Pollution Damage Compensation Fund (Revised Edition 2022)" and the "Guide for Claims of the Ship Oil Pollution Damage Compensation Fund (Revised Edition 2022)". These revisions have been approved at the 2024 meeting of the Ship Oil Pollution Damage Compensation Fund Management Committee. We are now issuing the "Guidelines for the Settlement of the Ship Oil Pollution Damage Compensation Fund (Revised Edition 2024)" and the "Guide for Claims of the Ship Oil Pollution Damage Compensation Fund (Revised Edition 2024)" to you. They will come into effect from the date of issuance.
Claims for ship oil pollution damage that were accepted for processing before the date of issuance shall be settled in accordance with the 2022 revised version. Claims for ship oil pollution damage accepted for processing on or after the date of issuance shall be settled in accordance with the 2024 revised version.
