A new edition of the Arctic Navigation Guide (Northeast Passage) was published
Guided by the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport and compiled by the East China Sea Navigation Support Center, the new edition of the Arctic Navigation Guide (Northeast Passage) has been officially published, which will provide more comprehensive and practical navigation reference for ships planning to navigate the Northeast Passage of the Arctic.
The new guide covers the northeast passage in the arctic navigation regulations, natural environment, sea ice, ice navigation, navigation environment and maritime security, recommended route and navigation, risk control, such as content, focus on the channel correlation chart, routes, ice, air route navigation, navigation AIDS, berth wharf, berthing and mooring safety guidelines, enriched the ice-class experience, ship control points, In addition, a branch route from the Northeast Passage of the Arctic to the Yamal Peninsula has been added to provide efficient navigation guidance for ships sailing through the waters. The content is rich, detailed and more targeted, which can provide effective navigation guidance for ships sailing through the waters.
Starting from the ports of Western Europe and Northern Europe in the west, the Northeast Arctic Passage runs along the Arctic coast of the Eurasian continent through the Bering Strait to the Pacific Ocean. It is the shortest maritime route connecting East Asia and Europe, as well as an extremely important energy channel. China is a big country of ocean and shipping, and more than 90% of the freight volume of import and export of foreign trade is finished by Marine transportation. The ocean route is very important to promote the development of blue economy and ensure the unblocking of water freight chain. In the traditional ocean route, the route to Europe is relatively limited, and the time and economic cost of sailing are large. It is estimated that the Northeast Passage, taking ports north of Shanghai as an example to ports in Western Europe, the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, will be 25 to 55 percent shorter than traditional routes, saving hundreds of billions of yuan in shipping costs for international trade every year, and becoming a "golden waterway" linking China and Europe.
Next, the east China sea maritime security center will launch the new "arctic navigation guidance (northwest passage) preparation work, for the arctic route of the ship to provide more comprehensive and effective navigation safety guidelines and reference, to better help the arctic navigation safety, for the various countries' economic integration along the development to provide a more powerful safeguard.
